We've been brainwashed!

So I've seen the movie "He's Just Not That Into You" before, but I dont think I saw it from the very beginning because it just came on and the first 2 minutes of it turned a super bright light on.

If you havent seen it, it starts with a little girl in a sandbox. The voiceover says something about every woman remembering the first boy she ever liked, even if it didnt turn out the way she wanted. Then a little boy comes over to the little girl in the sandbox, pushes her down and tells her he did it because she smells like dog poo LMAO! SMH.... then a female teacher comes over to console the little girl and tells her that the little boy only did it because he liked her and that's how boys act when they like you. Every little girl has been told that before and from that point on, its embedded in her subconscience. That's why we like assholes LOL.

By George!! We've been brainwashed! LOL

Has a girlfriend ever told you some guy started being standoffish with you because he likes you too much and doesnt know how to handle it (as seen this morning on Facebook...smh)? Well, thats bullshit LOL. Impossible, no, just improbable. Even if it were the truth, most grownups realize that liking somebody who likes you back is actually a good thing - assuming neither of you is in some other relationship. Who runs away from that? LOL Arent we all looking to like somebody who likes us back? WTF kinda logic is that? And if some dude ACTUALLY responds that way, you're better off because he needs to grow the fuck up.

PSA: If somebody is treating you like they dont give a crap, its probably not a subterfuge. Chances are, they genuinely dont give a crap. I know some things in life can be so very complex, but sometimes, it really is that simple.

*adding*

Just watched a scene where this girl is telling her girlfriend that she met the perfect guy but he's married. The girlfriend comes back with some story about someone she knows who was married for like 13 years, met the love of his life at a gas station and divorced his wife to be with his soulmate who he is now freakishly happy with. So the girl's like "You're right. Im gonna call him."

*staring into the camera*

LADIES, KNOCK IT OFF! LOL

Stop pumping your girlfriends heads with fantasies of glass slippers and idealism, and this is coming from someone who is a hopeless romantic. I love love and all the things that SHOULD happen (such as this) but Im also a realist, so I know it just doesnt. It doesnt. The instances when it does are VERY few and VERY far between and are definitely the exception, not the rule. He's not gonna leave his wife for you. Ever. Tell yourself the truth so other people can stop lying to you. Thanks.
